Thank you, Ziathon Volunteers!

We had so many wonderful volunteers help with the Ziathon this year! Thank you!

Our students ran hard to meet their goals and are now working on collecting pledges. The PTA will have a table set up outside the cafeteria to collect pledge money on Oct. 23 & 24. Be sure to send your child's pledge money in the envelope that was sent home.

Zia's 2nd Annual Storybook Parade!

Get your costumes ready! Zia's 2nd Annual Storybook Parade will be Friday, October 31st! Dress in your best storybook character costume and bring the book your character is from if you have it! (Please remember - no blood, gore, or violent costumes allowed.)

Together the Zia Elementary PTA and the Highland Business and Neighborhood Association (HBANA) have established a Little Free Library in the Zia Park.  Built by Ellis Waller, a Zia grandfather who lives in Wisconsin, this library is a visual symbol of our commitment to the Zia neighborhood.  Our hope is that this library enhances literacy as well as fosters a sense of community within our school and our neighborhood.

HOW DOES THIS LIBRARY WORK?

This Little Free Library offers a way to share good things to read.  This library belongs to everybody -- neighbors, friends, and people we don’t even know yet.  Anyone can use it.

TAKE A BOOK. If you see something you would like to read, take it.

SHARE IT. Return it to any Little Library or pass it on to a friend.

GIVE BOOKS. Help by keeping this library stocked with good reading material.

THANK YOU FOR PROTECTING AND LOVING THIS LIBRARY!
